12-year-old boy struck and killed while riding bike in Delta Township

DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WILX) - A 12-year-old boy from Grand Ledge was struck and killed by a car while riding his bike Thursday night.

Eaton County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 11:30 p.m. to the area of Willow Highway near I-96 in Delta Township after receiving reports of a serious injury crash.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that an eastbound vehicle on Willow Highway had struck the boy. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau and Crash Investigation Team are currently investigating the incident.
