CRANBURY – The 175-year-old Cranbury Township farm in the heart of Central New Jersey that has spurred a national debate over the development of farmland will remain untouched under an agreement struck between the local government, The Henry Family Farm and state and federal agencies.
According to an announcement on Thursday by Gov. Phil Murphy, his administration helped the Henry Family, Cranbury Township, and New Jersey's Fair Share Housing agency reach an agreement to ensure that the farm remains under the family’s ownership. The agreement means the municipality must now look to other properties to meet their state-required affordable housing obligation.
