LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – The sale of the High Street YMCA in downtown Lexington is moving forward.
According to officials, the YMCA Board of Directors voted earlier this week to proceed with the sale of the property. The decision follows a September 24 vote authorizing the organization to sign a contract with student housing developer Trammell Webb Partners.
YMCA leaders say they are now searching for a new location as part of the transition.
For now, officials confirm the High Street facility will remain open through at least March.
