The Hamblen County Sheriff's Office is investigating after two people were found found dead, having suffered apparent gunshot wounds, in Eastern Hamblen County Thursday night. On October 23, at approximately 9:45 p.m., deputies with the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence located in East Hamblen County in reference to an open 911 call. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to make contact with anyone at the front door and as they proceeded to the rear of the residence, deputies observed a male subject lying on the floor of the family room with a handgun laying nearby.
