LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) - Court records show that a contractor from East Liverpool is facing a grand theft charge in connection with work he was hired to do but never delivered.
According to a police report, Aaron Hook contracted with a man in November 2024 to do a remodel on a home on Carlisle Road in Lisbon. Hook was paid $38,000 upfront for the work, and a contract was signed, according to the police report.
According to the homeowner, Hook took the money and never completed the work.
Hook was arraigned Aug. 29 when he pleaded not guilty; however, he did not return to court for an Oct. 8 scheduling conference, and a bench warrant was issued.
Hook was arrested recently by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office. He is due back in court Nov. 14.
