WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two men are facing charges in connection with a motor vehicle theft in Waterbury, police said.
Isaac Rodriguez-Santiago, 31, and the passenger, Abdulsatar Sulaivani, 36, both of Waterbury, were arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop after police saw a 2000 Honda Civic that had been reported stolen in the area of Rutledge Street.
Rodriguez-Santiago was charged with: • Larceny of a motor vehicle • Operating a motor vehicle without a license
Sulaivani was charged with: • Larceny of a motor vehicle • Possession of drug paraphernalia • illegal possession of a controlled substance
According to police, he also had active warrants and is wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident.
