CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Charleston book lovers, rejoice, your group chat just got an upgrade.

WhatsApp and Reese’s Book Club are teaming up to launch a brand-new digital community designed to connect local readers, and Charleston is one of just five U.S. cities chosen for the rollout.

The partnership, Vivian Odior, Global Head of Marketing of WhatsApp, says grew out of a shared goal: giving readers a space to connect over their favorite stories and authors, and, of course, Reese Witherspoon’s famous book picks.
