DENVER (KDVR) — A Longmont High School student was taken into custody after a handgun was found in his possession when he came onto campus Thursday afternoon.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Longmont Public Safety said the Skyline High School student resource officer was notified of a student's social media posts with what appeared to be a handgun. After interviewing the student, they said it had been sold to a Longmont High School student.
Skyline High School shared the information with the Longmont High School SRO and administration, and the staff was able to find the student as he arrived on campus around 1:25 p.m., Longmont Public Safety said.
