A Winnipeg chiropractor accused of filming patients with cameras disguised as sprinkler heads has pleaded guilty to voyeurism.
Dr. Robert Stitt, 67, gave his guilty plea to one count of voyeurism before Manitoba provincial court Judge Mark Kantor in a Winnipeg courtroom on Wednesday.
The single charge he pleaded guilty to relates to offences that took place between Nov. 29, 2023, and Jan. 1, 2024, and involved eight female victims, court heard.
He had originally faced seven other counts of voyeurism, but those other charges were stayed on Wednesday.
"By pleading guilty, you are admitting to the allegation?" Richard Wolson, Stitt's lawyer, asked him during the court hearing.
"Yes," Stitt replied.
