BC Ferries cancelled two sailings between Vancouver and Victoria early Friday morning, and more are at risk of cancellation throughout the day.
Just after 7:30 a.m., BC Ferries said the 8 a.m. sailing departing Swartz Bay and the 10 a.m. sailing departing Tsawwassen were cancelled due to “Environment Canada’s severe weather forecast for high winds in the Strait of Georgia.”
Just before 8 a.m., the company said four more sailings along the route were at risk of cancellation due to the strong winds.
The sailings at risk of cancellation on Friday, Oct. 24, are: • 9 a.m. departing Tsawwassen • 9 a.m. departing Swartz Bay • 11 a.m. departing Tsawwassen • 11 a.m. departing Swartz Bay
