EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State University alumni Mary and Mike Lamach have made a transformative $10 million gift to the university.

Their donation supports MSU’s fundraising efforts for the new Engineering and Digital Innovation (EDI) Center, a facility designed to foster multidisciplinary problem-solving and collaboration across engineering, technology, and design fields.

Mike Lamach earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from MSU, while his wife, Mary, earned a bachelor’s degree in education.

The couple met at Michigan State and have been together for 42 years. Both were the first in their families to attend and graduate from college.
