A 17-year-old pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle in Selkirk last week has died, Manitoba RCMP say.
The teen from the rural municipality of St. Andrews was walking with another young man when he was struck by the vehicle on Manitoba Avenue, just west of Highway 9A, around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 15, RCMP said in a release.
RCMP previously said the pedestrians were walking in the middle of the road. In an update Thursday, RCMP said their investigation has determined they were walking east along the edge of the road when the teen was hit by the vehicle, which was also eastbound.
The teen was taken to hospital via STARS air ambulance in critical condition after the crash. RCMP say he died from his injuries Wednesday.
The other pedestrian was not injured, according to the previous release.
