SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Springfield Police say a 13-year-old boy has been arrested, accused of hitting five vehicles, including a police cruiser, while driving a stolen car Thursday.
Police said the teeen was speeding through Boston Road and Harvey Street shortly after 1 p.m. when the teen hit the cruiser’s sideview mirror.
Officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver didn’t stop. They said they saw the teen later hit four vehicles at the intersection of Berkshire Avenue and Bay Street. Three drivers were transported to Baystate Medical Center to be checked out for any injuries.
The teen then ran into a Robert Dyer Circle apartment and was arrested a short time later. Due to his age, the suspect’s name, booking photo, and specific charges will not be released.
