ALBURNETT, Iowa — The Linn County Sheriff's Office reported a bomb threat at Alburnett School District on Friday. A computer-generated voicemail left the threat, and authorities are investigating its origin.
The Iowa State Fire Marshal and the sheriff's office are working on the case. The district says this is part of a broader swatting campaign as similar threats have surfaced across Iowa and nationwide.
Alburnett Community School District (CSD) dismissed students at 10:45 a.m. today as a precaution. Law enforcement, including a K-9 unit, inspected the premises and found nothing suspicious. Despite this, no after-school activities will occur on the main campus.
