SYLMAR – An investigation continued Friday into the death of a man in his 50s who was found on a sidewalk in Sylmar.

Officers were called about 8:55 a.m. Thursday to the 13600 block of Sayre Street, a couple of blocks from the Foothill (210) Freeway, where the body was discovered, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LAPD.

There was no immediate evidence of foul play, police said.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
