HAWTHORNE – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives are continuing their investigation Saturday of a shooting at a Halloween party in the community of Del Aire, west of Hawthorne, where at least two people were wounded

Deputies from the LASD’s South Sheriff’s Station and Hawthorne Police Department officers were called at 10:10 p.m. Friday to reports of a shooting near the intersection of El Segundo and La Cienega boulevards, according to Lt Jose Lopez.

When they arrived, deputies and officers were told one person had been driven to a hospital with a gunshot wound after an unknown shooter opened fire on some of the partygoers, Lopez said.

Deputies later learned a second victim also sustained a gunshot wound. No suspects were identified.
