UNION COUNTY, S.C (WSPA) - The Union Public Safety Department said that a man was arrested after a child died from cardiac arrest in Union County.
On Tuesday October 23, the Union Public Safety Department was called out to a house on North Boyce Street regarding a pediatric cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, Union County EMS were on scene providing aid to a 1-year-old girl. The child was taken to Union Medical Center, where they passed away.
An investigation with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) revealed that the Union County Sheriff's Office had made a controlled purchase of narcotics at the house hours before the incident.
