UNION, S.C. —
A man has been charged in connection with the death of his 1-year-old daughter, according to arrest warrants.
On Sept. 23, the Union Public Safety Department responded to 301 North Boyce Street regarding a pediatric cardiac arrest.
When officers arrived, they found Union County EMS on scene. The 1-year-old girl was rushed to Union Medical Center, where she passed away. The coroner's office and investigators responded to the hospital.
Investigators contacted the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for assistance in the investigation.
According to law enforcement, hours before the incident the Union County Sheriff's Office made an undercover purchase of fentanyl at the home.
As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Tyrese Deshaun Crawford was charged with homicid
