GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two people were injured, one critically, in a crash early Friday morning in Greensboro, police said.

Around 2:05 a.m., Greensboro police, firefighters, and Guilford County EMS responded to South Holden Road between Oakland Avenue and Spring Garden Street after a vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole.

Investigators said an Infiniti G35 was traveling north on South Holden Road when it veered right and struck a wooden utility pole. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the front passenger suffered life-threatening injuries.

The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating. Additional details have not been released.
