FARGO — Proponents of a downtown Fargo convention center have scrapped plans to build it over the City Hall parking lot for repurposing the Civic Center.

EAPC Architects Engineers, in partnership with the Kilbourne Group, presented the revamped plans on Friday, Oct. 24, during a Fargo Convention Center Committee meeting. The downtown location is one of four finalists chosen from nine proposals in the search for a convention center location.

Presenters for a convention center near Brewhalla also answered questions about their proposal, which has seen little change since its initial pitch. Proponents of a center at the Fargodome and Scheels Arena will meet with the committee for a question-and-answer session Friday, Oct. 31.
