Anchorage police have resolved a standoff that prompted road closures in the area of 36th Avenue and Willow Street.
Officers responded Wednesday afternoon to 2300 W 36th Avenue after reports of an armed adult acting erratically. When they arrived, the man was found barricaded in a building on the 3500 block of Willow Street.
Authorities say the suspect had outstanding warrants. Crisis negotiators were brought in, and the man was taken into custody without incident.
During the standoff, 36th Avenue near Lois Street was closed, and the public was asked to avoid the area. Roads have now reopened.
