GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —
A man in Greenville, South Carolina, has been arrested on five charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
On Friday, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of 21-year-old Alexander William Vermeesch.
Investigators said Vermeesch distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material. He was arrested by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
Wilson said Vermeesch has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Greenville County Detention Center
The case will be prosecuted by the attorney general's office.
