HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford's downtown arena has a new name and a new look.

PeoplesBank Arena - formerly known as the XL Center - hosted a grand reopening ceremony Friday after months of renovations.

With the work now completed, city and arena leaders say fans can expect many more shows and games there.

Renovated dressing rooms, new locker rooms and even a new club room are some of the results of the $145 million investment put into the arena.

Arena officials say these upgrades will give performers and athletes a better space and stage for their work.

Stevie Nicks and Cardi B are among the artists who will perform at PeoplesBank Arena in the coming months.

Arena officials hope to add more star power to that list.
