PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The threat of severe weather grows across Oregon Saturday as wet and windy weather remains with the first major fall storm of the season.
The first major atmospheric river of the season continues to throw all four seasons at Portland Saturday. Potentially damaging winds, flooding rains, and heavy mountain snow is all seperate from the threat of severe thunderstorms developing across western Oregon.
The Climate Prediction Center has put much of the state of Oregon under a 'Marginal Risk' for severe weather. Severe weather includes wind gusts greater than 58 mph and or hail greater or equal to 1". The threat of a brief funnel cloud or even a tornado is possible as the unstable weather remains in the forecast for Oregon this weekend.
