CLEVELAND —

The Cleveland community gathered at a football game to honor 18-year-old Kimber Mills, a high school senior and cheerleader, who was tragically shot at a bonfire in Jefferson County less than a week ago.

The senior night would have been when Kimber was recognized on the field for her dedication as a cheerleader and track star over the past four years, but instead, her family received flowers as the community honored her memory.

The stadium was covered in pink, Kimber's favorite color, and featured a balloon release. Many attendees wore pink shirts with Kimber's name and a Bible verse, while the football team showed their support by wearing pink socks. The phrase "Love like Kimber" was seen all over the stadium on signs, cars, and T-shirts, reflecting how beloved she was.
