PHOENIX — A 148-unit affordable housing community designed specifically for seniors celebrated its grand opening in Glendale.

The Cascalote is located on a 4.4-acre site near 51st Avenue and Glen Drive.

The $9.5 million project was approved by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors with funding from the American Rescue Plan Act in April 2022.

Units will be assigned with priorities given to veterans, seniors exiting homelessness and those living with disabilities.
