PINE RIVER — The Pine River-Backus Tigers will play No. 1-seeded Swanville in the East Subsection 5-1A final at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Crosby-Ironton.

The No. 2-seeded Tigers, 20-10 overall, defeated the No. 3-seeded Mille Lacs Raiders 3-0 in the East Subsection 5-1A semifinals Friday, Oct. 24.

Ella Brewer recorded 12 digs, eight kills and four aces for PR-B.

Mimi Bueckers finished with nine kills, five digs, two blocks and an ace.

Leah Eveland dished out 17 set assists.

"We spread our offense and had solid serve receive that led to such a fun team win tonight," Coach Crysta Blake said.
