NORFOLK, Va. — No one was hurt after a fire broke out inside a home Friday night, Norfolk Fire-Rescue said.
Firefighters were called to Spruce Street around 9:42 p.m. When they arrived, they found smoke coming from the side of a one-story house. Crews were able to bring the fire under control just after 10:30 p.m.
Norfolk Fire-Rescue said the residents were able to get out of the home safely, and assistance from the Red Cross was not needed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
