The bus going from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught fire around 3:30 AM on October 24.

A new revelation has emerged in the bus accident that occurred in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The bus that caught fire on Friday morning, killing 20 passengers, was carrying 234 smartphones.

According to a news report, the forensic team states that the fire rapidly intensified due to the explosion of phone batteries, ultimately leaving no chance for passengers to escape.

Meanwhile, Kurnool police have arrested driver Miriyala Laxmaiah and the cleaner, who fled after the accident. According to the police, when the bus stopped after catching fire, both jumped out of the passenger door. They did not realize the seriousness of the accident.
