A tragic incident unfolded in Rome when a tourist fell to his death from the Pantheon, witnessed by his daughter. Morimasa Hibino, a 69-year-old Japanese national, lost his balance and fell approximately 22 feet at around 9:50pm local time.

According to local media reports, Hibino was sitting on the perimeter wall of the historic monument when the accident occurred. A priest passing by alerted the authorities after discovering Hibino lying in a ditch. Emergency services and firefighters quickly arrived at the scene, but they had to force open a gate to access the area where the man had fallen.

Despite the rapid response, Hibino was pronounced dead at the site. Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident. They confirmed that Hibino had been sitting on the wall before the fall, which has raised questions about safety measures at the popular tourist destination.
