Heroic Act: Mumbai traffic cop bravely rescues girl from knife attack

Mumbai (Maharashtra), October 25, 2025:In a remarkable act of bravery, Police Constable Kiran Suryavanshi from the Byculla Traffic Division rescued a young girl who was being held hostage during a knife attack at a nursing home in Kala Chowki, Mumbai.

According to a post shared by the Mumbai Traffic Police on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PC Suryavanshi acted swiftly upon learning about the incident. Displaying exceptional courage and presence of mind, he confronted and overpowered the armed assailant, ensuring the safety of the victim.

The injured girl was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment, while the accused was taken into custody.
