RUSTON, La. — Buc-ee’s, the popular Texas travel center known for its large convenience stores and distinctive snacks, is coming to Louisiana in 2027.
On Friday, Governor Jeff Landry and state officials broke ground on the first Louisiana location near Interstate 20 in Ruston, east of Shreveport.
"We're here in Ruston. Guess what? Broke out today on a brand new book mask on and everything, and in two years we'll be back right here cutting the ribbon," Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry said in a social media video with mascot Buc-ee.
"If you want to know how great your state is, count the number of Buc-ee's. So, Louisiana is getting great because we got one and another one."
The new Buc-ee’s will span 74,000 square feet and feature 120 gas pumps. The store will offer a variety of food and
