In a battle for the 4A Grand Canyon Region championship, the No. 9-ranked Coconino Panthers and the No. 4 Bradshaw Mountain Bears went down to the wire at Cromer Stadium Friday night. After the Panthers scored 15 unanswered points to tie the game, the Bears went back to doing what they did best all game by running the football to secure a 28-21 victory.

The seven-point deficit was Coconino’s largest all season.
