GADSDEN, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Gadsden Police Department now has more resources so they can focus on keeping you safe on the road.
The city is getting federal and state money to help with traffic enforcement in their area.
With more emphasis on distracted drivers, Investigator Sam Lowe with the Gadsden Police Department’s Traffic Unit says he wants everyone to know they’ll be out enforcing the laws.
After receiving a $3000 dollar grant this first quarter. The police department will focus on reducing traffic accidents and fatalities. Other areas will include speeding, DUI’s and people not wearing seatbelts.
“This first quarter where we will focus on these areas and as you know with the holiday’s coming up a lot of people tend to be a little bit more distracted,” said Director of City
