Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu on October 25 inaugurated the refurbished Terminal 2 (T2) at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), which will become operational from Sunday (October 26).
Originally constructed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) around four decades ago, T2 was temporarily closed in April this year to undergo extensive renovation works. The upgraded terminal now boasts an annual capacity of 15 million passengers, enhancing the airport's overall efficiency and comfort level.
IGIA, the largest airport in India, comprises three terminals (T1, T2 and T3) and four runways, managing over 1,300 flight movements daily.
