A West Lothian has met with a local councillor to express their shared concern over the lack of investment in primary care services in Armadale and Blackridge.
MP Kirsteen Sullivan's and councillor Susan Manion's core concern relates to the Barbauchlaw Medical Practice, which serves patients across Armadale and Blackridge, and is facing a growing crisis due to a severe lack of space in their building.
They believe this issue is threating the delivery of essential healthcare services to thousands of local residents, reports the Daily Record.
Ms Sullivan and Ms Manion are both greatly concerned that the GP practice is struggling to keep up with one of Scotland’s fastest growing areas, with West Lothian’s population projected to rise by eight per cent by 2033/34.
