LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An investigation is underway after what are believed to be human remains were found near a park in Lexington.
Lexington Police say the remains were found in the 3100 block of Leestown Road near Masterson Station Park at around 1 p.m. Saturday.
Officers tell WKYT the remains are believed to be human skeletal remains, but they are still being tested. Police also say they believe the remains are of a female who died of natural causes.
The Fayette County Coroner has not yet released the individual’s identity.
