LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Lexington Police Department confirmed Monday on social media that a weekend search related to a missing person’s case was for Lydia Perkins.
She went missing 28 years ago.
“It’s been 28 years, that’s always been an area of speculation. It was right behind the neighborhood,” Justin Perkins, then 14-year-old Lydia Perkin’s brother.
Police are now asking the public for any information about her disappearance.
In the video, police say officers had attempted to search Preston’s Spring Park several years ago, but flooding prevented them from conducting a thorough search.
