Frank Lloyd Wright’s singular imagination and touch for architectural design could have defined the city of Pittsburgh via a mammoth project on the Point — had his and the city’s paths unfolded differently.
From now through May 10, Downtown’s 820 Liberty Gallery is hosting a journey into that alternate timeline for the legendary architect with “Frank Lloyd Wright's Southwestern Pennsylvania: The Pittsburgh Projects.” It brings to life his vision with painstakingly detailed and immersive videos, designs and models of unrealized residential, commercial and civic projects conceived from the 1930s through the 1950s.
