Pat Narduzzi called NC State “the most talented football team” Pitt football has played to date. It was a bold comment but hyped up an already exciting homecoming weekend game. NC State had the best running back in the ACC. However, it had only won one conference game coming into Saturday.

Between the lackluster performance last weekend against Syracuse and multiple starters on the defensive side being out, it was important for Pitt to find a way to grind out the win.
