Scotty Bowman had seen more than his fair share of hockey success before arriving in Pittsburgh in 1990. Heck, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame a year later.

Yet every time he returns to the Steel City, he can’t help but marvel at the heights the franchise reached. And his latest trip celebrated just that.

Bowman, along with Eddie Johnston, Ron Francis and Kevin Stevens, was honored Saturday prior to the Penguins’ contest against the Blue Jackets at PPG Paints Arena for their induction into the franchise’s Hall of Fame.

“It’s unbelievable,” Johnston told reporters prior to the game. “Any time you get put into a hockey Hall of Fame, you gotta be very thankful.”
