PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups left the federal courthouse in Portland on Thursday, released from custody under certain rules:
He can’t gamble.
His travel is limited to Oregon, New York, and his home state of Colorado.
And he can’t contact defendants, alleged victims, or members of 'La Cosa Nostra' — described by federal prosecutors as the Mafia.
Billups faces two federal charges — conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering — in connection with allegedly rigged illegal poker games.
His next federal court appearance is set for Nov. 24 in the Eastern District of New York.
