BRANSON, Mo. — With Halloween just around the corner, Silver Dollar City (SDC) "branched out" early with the holiday season as a 45-foot Grand Fir made the long trip from Oregon to the Ozarks this week, arriving in Branson on Saturday, Oct. 25, to cheers and flashing lights — courtesy of a fire truck escort down Highway 76.

The towering tree will "fir real" take center stage during SDC's “An Old Time Christmas" festival from Nov. 1 of this year through Jan. 4 next year, lighting up three times each evening for visitors to enjoy.

With 30,000 twinkling lights soon to adorn its branches, the Grand Fir will shine along with SDC's 6.5 million-plus Christmas lights, Broadway-style shows, handcrafted gifts, homestyle feasts and more.
