SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Sacramento State is stepping up security measures at Hornet Stadium after last week's football game and post-game Lil Yachty concert led to chaos, with videos showing people rushing the field and being trampled.
Jeremy Curtis, security director for Event Security Specialists, explained the situation to KCRA, noting that combining a football game with a concert creates added pressure.
"The activity of the game, the emotions, the excitement of that, then you have a concert going on, and those are usually two separate things," Curtis said. "But in this case, we're combining it. So we're combining the people that may or may not have come to one or the other event, but they're in both now."
