Charleston Southern was looking to piece together consecutive wins as it hosted Eastern Illinois University on Oct. 25 at Buccaneer Field.
Thanks to a late rally and a blocked field goal, they did just that.
Zolten Osborne directed two fourth-quarter touchdown drives and David Portu blocked a potential game-winning field goal with 5 seconds left in the Buccaneers’ come-from-behind 17-16 win.
"Super proud of these guys," CSU coach Gabe Giardina said. "The heart, the effort, the character. We've been talking all year about playing 60 minutes, and we needed all 60 minutes today.”
