Fairfax County police said a possible juvenile male suspect has been identified after Evin Alberto Herrera, 16, was shot and killed in Herndon Wednesday night.

The juvenile, who was transported to and held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center, could face charges for second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting from a vehicle, according to police.

Fairfax County police said they were called to Parcher Avenue, where the victim's family says they found Evin laying on the ground with a gunshot to his lower body and that he died at the scene
