VINCENNES, Ind. — A southwestern Indiana man is behind bars after police say they found meth on his person while he was being detained for allegedly throwing a traffic cone at a sheriff's deputy's vehicle.
According to a release from the Knox County Sheriff's Office , around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, a deputy was driving back to the sheriff's office building when the deputy passed the Casey's General Store located at 1902 Willow Street in Vincennes.
As the deputy was passing the Casey's store, police say 34-year-old Brandon McDaniel was sitting on the curb outside the business when he allegedly threw a traffic cone at the deputy's vehicle.
Police say the traffic cone landed in the roadway and briefly obstructed traffic.
