NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Metro Nashville Police Department is searching for a suspect after a shooting injured one person in South Nashville Saturday night.

Officers at the scene told WSMV the suspect was chasing another person in a vehicle and fired several shots at the victim at multiple locations along Harding Place.

Police said the suspect was weaving in and out of traffic, chasing and trying to shoot the victim, who was trying to flee from the gunman.

The shooting injured one person. Police said the victim is in stable condition at this time.

MNPD said they are working to locate the shooter, who they say may have been in a red vehicle at the time of the shooting.
