MEMPHIS -- Pacers rookie guard Taelon Peter will not return to Saturday's game against the Grizzlies with a sore right groin, the Pacers posted on their social media accounts early in the second quarter.

Peter, who had earned early rotation minutes thanks to a strong preseason and several injuries in the Pacers' backcourt, played just two minutes on Saturday before the injury. He averaged 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in the preseason.

Peter had been working at both guard spots despite having never played point guard because the Pacers have so many players injured at the position.
