Kenzie Ellis picked a terrific time to secure a postseason hat trick.
During Saturday’s District 3 2A quarterfinal clash in Lititz, Warwick’s star forward collected three goals, including a pair on the second half, that secured a 3-0 victory over Lampeter-Stasburg.
The junior opened the scoring early in the first quarter and then extended the Warriors’ edge to 2-0 with a strike from the left corner at the 6:47 mark.
With All-American and Ohio State pledge Taylor Hess out with an injury, Ellis lifted the Warriors to Wednesday’s semifinal round vs. No. 3 seed Hershey, a 2-0 winner over Susquehannock Saturday.
Warwick also locked in a PIAA tournament berth.
